Kaleb House was established while on mission with Grindstone Ministries at Bethany House (a restoration facility for juvenile human trafficking survivors), Grindstone leadership was so moved by the plight of those involved, that we became convicted to not only complete the construction of Bethany House so that it could become operational, but to build our own restoration facility to help those child survivors of human trafficking. To that end, in 2021, we founded our second 501(c)(3) organization: Kaleb House. This Kaleb House organization provides a covering for abused and trafficked children and will allow them to grow and learn in a safe home-like environment.
Grindstone Ministries will be building the Kaleb House facility and has secured the land and begun site preparation work to accommodate the administrative building and care houses for the children. Grindstone has retained the services of a professional architect, who is completing the initial drawings that will allow us to apply for grants that will assist with the construction costs as well as some of the costs of the professional services needed to supplement our volunteer labor. Grindstone continues to build strategic partnerships with tradespeople, companies, and organizations, who will assist in the actual construction and donation of labor and materials. We have also secured an agreement from a renowned permaculture designer who will donate his time to the development of sustainable systems, which will help with keeping future expenses in check.
In 2022, while progressing on the Kaleb House facility, Grindstone was contacted by an individual who was herself being sexually abused by her husband, as were her children, ages 4 to 12. In our ongoing efforts to forsake not the widow and orphan, and to break generational curses, Kaleb House and Grindstone volunteers stepped into action and provided this family with an affordable housing option and family court advocacy as well as life skills training and access to requisite therapy. Kaleb House has also partnered with a trauma therapist, a family advocate, and security personnel as is necessary in many abusive situations.
What we weren’t expecting was that this first family would lead to a second. And a third. And a fourth. And a fifth. The depths of depravity that we have uncovered within a single community is horrific. Mothers and their children, ranging in ages from 1 to 19 years old being systematically victimized. So now we find ourselves in a situation that requires all the efforts of care that the Kaleb House facility is to provide, without actually having the facility and permanent staffing in place.
Grindstone Ministries and Kaleb House are working together with law enforcement and intelligence analysts to address the egregious crimes uncovered while assisting these initial families. To date, one conviction has been secured, totaling 25 years in the Oklahoma state penitentiary. We continue to work with various agencies to aid in securing additional convictions.
Here’s where you come in; we need your prayers and support desperately. Please pray for these families, and that the Father’s Will be done to cover them, restore them, protect them, provide for them, and bless them. Please pray that justice will be served on those who have harmed the least of these; that the Father’s perfect judgement be made manifest.
Please pray for all the staff and volunteers involved, that they be protected, provided for, and blessed, and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. If you are convicted to assist monetarily, please know that we need that support desperately as well. We have taken our financial war chest, dumped it out, and set it on fire in the last few weeks.
Rescuing people and providing witness security is an expensive, complex, and taxing endeavor; as is housing, feeding, clothing, transporting, healing, and teaching dozens of people with limited staff and funds. With that, please know that we fully intend to let our Yes be Yes. Our current mission does not detract from our commitment to complete construction and staffing of the Kaleb House facility; in fact, our current mission illustrates even more so why we need a Kaleb House facility in the first place. If you would like to volunteer or make a tax-deductible donation to Grindstone Ministries or Kaleb House, please visit us at GrindstoneMinistries.com.
Kaleb House, with Grindstone Ministries help, has an unwavering commitment to providing a biblical covering to widows and orphans and breaking generational curses. We have gone all-in on this mission. We will not rest until every child is safe.
I thank you for your prayers, support, and courage in standing with us.
