HELENE DEPLOYMENT INFORMATION

UPDATE 10-15-24

We are so blessed by all who have partnered with us in providing help and needed supplies to the people whose lives have been so greatly affected by Helene in eastern TN and western NC!

Any previously requested and collected supplies from the needs list may be delivered to the FOB through Sunday, October 20, 2024. (No more water or clothing, please)

We do not need any other supplies incoming at this time.

We are also well covered with volunteers through November. We will assess need/risk in the area the first week in November and make a new call for volunteers if needed. Please keep an eye on Grindstone Ministries and Bear Independent YouTube channels  for information. If you are still interested in helping, please email serve@grindstoneministries.com at that time.

WHO IS GRINDSTONE MINISTRIES?

Grindstone Ministries is an Oklahoma-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Grindstone was founded in 2019 to provide disaster relief and construction services to those most affected by devastating storms. To that end, Grindstone has deployed more than 30 times in the last three years to serve others by performing work as varied as a complete home makeover for a single mom with 3 kids whose house was destroyed by flooding, to disaster cleanup and critical materials distribution during the recent tornadoes in Mississippi.

Our disaster relief missions are mainly focused on the 10 states in the middle and southern United States. Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Grindstone also blesses other ministries and like-minded organizations with labor, materials, and equipment when the Father provides the opportunity. With the Father’s guidance, Grindstone Ministries has grown from an all-volunteer organization to include two full-time staff to better facilitate ongoing and future projects as well as to coordinate and communicate with the blessing that is our army of volunteers.
